  • Water Makes a World of Difference

While we all know we should drink plenty of water, many of us don’t. It is especially important to stay hydrated during the hot Charleston Summer so that your body stays cool, but inadequate hydration can also lead to a build-up of toxins in the body any time of the year.

As those toxins accumulate, the risk for constipation, bloating, gas, IBS and fatigue increases. Dr. Margarita Murphy with Colon Surgeons in Charleston SC suggests drinking at least eight 8-ounce glasses (or half a gallon) of water a day to aid in keeping your colon healthy, your stomach happy, skin glowing, weight down and energy up.
